🔜 The first hydrogen-powered JMG - MC250.09FL prototype was presented for the first time at the Hydrogen Expo exhibition, which took place from 21 to 23 May at Piacenza Expo.

A debut that is as symbolic as it is concrete: commercialisation is planned for 2026but it already represents the first tangible step in the new R&D path desired by founder and CEO Maurizio Manzini.

🔧 The heart of the innovation lies in the modular layout of the fuel cell system, which perfectly replicates the battery box of the standard version: weight, dimensions and mechanical/electrical connections are identical, making the new module interchangeable with the original lead-acid system (96 V - 1,050 Ah, two 1,500 kg boxes).
The only intervention required for the changeover to the fuel cell configuration is the reinstatement of the electrical wiring on the right side and the addition of a simple wiring harness,, which will be standard from 2026.

⚙️ The system uses a lithium battery to provide the primary energy (autonomy of up to 2 hours), while the fuel cell comes into operation to recharge the battery and bring the total autonomy to 5-6 hours. Intelligent operating logic activates the cell only below a charge threshold, keeping it in operation until fully recharged.

⛽️ Another key advantage is the speed of refuelling: : it only takes5 minutes to fill the 6 kg tank using an OMB Saleri nozzle (450 bar, SAE J2600 standard). A minimum amount of time that reduces downtime, overcoming the limits of traditional electric refuelling (9 hours or replacement of tanks).

🔋 In the absence of hydrogen, it is still possible to recharge the lithium battery in about .90 minutes., giving a range of. 2 to 3 hours..
